In the event of an emergency or if you witness a crime in action, always call 9-1-1 first.

Contact Crime Stoppers only to report suspicious or covert activity, or to provide a tip or information about an unsolved case or fugitive criminal(s). All telephone calls to any law enforcement agency are recorded automatically by that agency, including calls to 9-1-1. Therefore, calls reporting a crime to 9-1-1 are not eligible for a Crime Stoppers reward since absolute anonymity is no longer possible. Please report all crimes to the police. Crime Stoppers is not a law enforcement agency and cannot accept calls reporting crimes. Crime Stoppers accepts TIPS about crimes that have already occurred in an effort to assist the police in solving open cases.

A tip is any information that you are aware of that might help law enforcement to either prevent or solve a crime. No tip is too small. The information you have, may be the missing piece of the puzzle. Countless criminals are brought to justice every year as a direct result of an anonymous tip from someone just like you. With your help, Broward County Crime Stoppers and Law Enforcement Agencies can work together to make our community a safer place to live.
Broward County Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization dedicated to solving and preventing crime in Broward County Florida by serving as a clearinghouse for anonymous tips from the community. Our staff is available 24/7 to take your call.

There are many covert and underground crimes in all communities across the United States involving drugs, theft, child abuse, human trafficking, terrorism, escaped criminals, and more. As a Citizen of Broward County you are encouraged to keep a watchful eye on your community, and report unusual activity. For example, there are drug dealers in almost every neighborhood. If you suspect someone is selling illegal substances from their home, business, or vehicle, call Crime Stoppers to report as much information as possible and enable police officers to take action.

Other examples of suspicious activities may include persons planning crimes including robbery, arson, murder, terrorism, or other unlawful actions.

If you overhear conversation or are witness to people organizing crime, it is imperative that you call Crime Stoppers to discuss the matter. Your call is anonymous and the appropriate officials will investigate all tips. The information you provide may help save lives.

Review the Submit a Tip page to learn about ways you can help make our community a safer place to live. If you have specific information about criminal activity or an unsolved case, make an anonymous phone call to Crime Stoppers and speak with one of our trained staff. They will help you recall important information. Don't worry about having too little or too much information.

All tips are useful. Specific details such as a suspect's name, nickname, or address are key, but perhaps you only know where a suspect works or hangs out, these facts are also significant. Notes about how a suspect looks including their race, gender, height, weight, age, hair and eye color, scars, tattoos or birthmarks are also extremely helpful. Try to remember what kind of clothing the person was wearing, or the exact vehicle(s) they drive including the make, model, color, license plate, or body damage.

No tip is too small. Call Crime Stoppers and let our knowledgeable staff help you to help us. Together we can make our community a safer, friendlier place to live.
